Sympathy The sympathy and care of the congregation are extended to the family and friends of Martha Taylor. She died Monday evening (Aug. 18) after a long struggle with cancer, which did not dim her buoyant spirit. May she rest in God's eternal peace and light.
Eli Taylor was recently able to spend a week with his grandmother and was pleased to have that time.
There will be a memorial service at Northside in the near future.
If you wish to send a sympathy card or letter to Eli in care and support you may do so at the following address: Eli Taylor 6919 West Carnation Street Apartment G Richmond, Virginia 23225
Martha’s sister Anne Robinson lives in Blacksburg: 216 Woods Edge Court Blacksburg, VA 24060 |

Session Notes
The Session met after church on Sunday, August 17. Clark reviewed the financial statements, noting the status of several accounts. Alex presented the worship and study with a review of a chapter of "The Sailboat Church." Several committee reports were received and discussed. Clark presented the results from the work group tasked to review and make suggestions about hiring an administrative assistant. After a review of the draft job description and the current status of the position, the Session voted to hire Bruce into the position on a permanent basis. The members then shared joys and concerns to close the meeting. |
