Coming Sunday and Beyond
Kathy Carpenter will lead our service. Barbara Wierwille will provide our special music. After church, we will have Lemonade on the Lawn (or in the Narthex depending on the weather).
Linda is at the Massanetta Bible Conference all week but will be back in the office on Monday.
Save the Date: The Northside Deacons are celebrating Lou Brown’s 99th birthday on Sunday, August 10, at 2:00 in the Game and Craft Room at English Meadows. We cordially invite all friends of Lou to attend! (No gifts, please.) |

Lemonade on the Lawn We are continuing with lemonade on the lawn. This requires one to set out a table, put out the lemonade (found in the refrigerator in the kitchen) and cups, and clean up. There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex for those who want to help with this fellowship event.
There are open dates in July and August. Thanks to those who already signed up. |

Godspeed to Olivia
Olivia Narty found Northside while she was finishing her master's degree at Virginia Tech. She was quickly welcomed into the choir and was a regular participant in worship. We celebrated her milestone of graduation, were happy to hear she landed a job in Richmond, reacted with joy over her engagement to Clement Tetteh, and set them both up for a good start in their new home with a bridal shower. With a touch of sadness over her departure from our midst, we said goodbye last Sunday in a Litany of Godspeed.
As she leaves here, we pray for the presence of the Lord With Olivia as she goes on to new work, a new marriage, a new city, a new church, and new friends. Olivia, we have rejoiced to welcome you into our fellowship in the gospel in this community of faith. You have deepened our joy and lightened our sorrow. We will miss your love and friendship, yet we rejoice that you will now bless others as you have blessed us.
