Coming Sunday and Beyond

This Sunday, Linda’s sermon is “With Others.” The choir will offer “Would I Have Joined the Crowd?” to enhance the worship service.

The Adult Forum class will have a presentation about the mission and programs of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), the largest grassroots organization in the nation, which seeks to improve the lives of those impacted by mental illness. We will be introduced to the efforts of the local NAMI NRV affiliate and NAMI's unique approach to offering support and education.

There will not be a class on Easter, but the following week the class will begin a series of three classes led by Charles Bostian on Ancient Christianities.

Linda concludes her Lenten series of sermons on Easter with "Witness."

Lenten Lunches

We will gather at noon for one more session on April 14. "The Message of Jesus: Words that Changed the World" by Adam Hamilton is the theme of our Lenten Lunches.  Each session begins with a warm bowl of soup and some bread, followed by a short video and then discussion led by Reverend Linda.

Lenten Suppers

The last Blacksburg Ministerial Association Lenten Supper and Worship is this evening at Northside. Supper starts at 5:45 pm with a worship service to follow at 6:30.

For the Beauty of the Earth
Great Is Thy Faithfulness
Holy, Holy, Holy
All Things Bright and Beautiful
I to the Hills Will Lift My Eyes
God Be with You till We Meet Again
Here I Am, Lord
Amazing Grace
O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing
Almighty, Omnipotent, God Only Wise
Give to the Winds Thy Fears
Morning Has Broken
Blest Be the Tie That Binds
Glory to God (Whose Goodness Shines on Me)
How Firm a Foundation
I, the Lord of Sea and Sky
Seek Ye First
